  1. Wow, I tell you, this is good bread. I cut these into thick slices and made french toast with it, and what a great flavor. Because not only did you have maple syrup on top of the french toast, YOU HAD IT IN THE BREAD. I can only say WOW. Thank you for posting.

  2. I used my Kitchen Aid to make this bread as another reviewer mentioned. (I don't like the holes in my bread from my bread machine. LOL) I always weigh out my ingredients so that I know I am using the right amount. The other person said they needed to use an additional 1/3 of a cup (40g). I ended up using 60g and the kneading hook cleaned the bowl at this point. I let it rise for an hour and then put it in my 9x5 pan and baked for about 40mins until it reached 190 degrees F. It did come out beautiful and taste awesome. Highly recommend. Just suggesting that the alternate method be added as bakers tips as not everyone has a bread machine but would enjoy this bread. Thus the 4 star.

  3. This was a huge hit here. Without exception we all gave the exceptional bread 5 star votes. It rises like crazy for a huge loaf of of mildly sweet bread. I can't wait to have s big slice toasted for breakfast. Thanks mike for a recipe with a dough that is a dream to work and tastes wonderful. Made for Photo Tag.

  4. Excellent bread! The recipe makes a big 9x5" loaf with great taste and light, fluffy texture. I used a KitchenAid stand mixer for kneading and baked the loaf in a 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. It was necessary to add an extra 1/3 cup flour. I used a combination of bread flour, all-purpose flour, and a little whole-wheat flour. Thanks!

  5. This bread has probably the best texture of any I've cooked in my bread machine, it's lovely and soft and not too dense which is usually the case with my bread. I thought with the maple it would be sweet but it's not really, just a lovely bread, it's great toasted with jam & cream cheese. I used medium bake setting & sweet bread as the bread type on my machine. Thanks Mikekey.

We live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I am an office manager and my DH and I love riding on our Harley! I love to cook and have a large family. I enjoy my family, fellowship with good friends, crocheting, crafts, reading, our Harley! Just getting involved in a new church and looking to what we will be doing there in service. Oh, gosh, if I had month off, I think we would tootle around this great country of ours on our Harley. Never seen the Grand Canyon and would love that... hmmm, wonder who will pay for that!? LOL I love the Taste of Home magazine and my favorite cookbook is Best of Friends, Etc and Best of Friends, Too. Great ones! Along with my dozens of church cookbooks!
