Macaroni and Cheese Pizza

"This recipe is a long time family recipe......or so I thought... This is in a family cookbook that I got back in 1988 and we have been using this recipe even before the cookbook came out... It's easy, it's fun, and I have yet to see a kid, (or adult for that matter!), that hasn't like this recipe... We switch up on toppings, but pepperoni always seems to be the favorite. Also, adjust the amount of sauce and cheese to your liking. My father still makes this for himself by just cutting all the ingredient amounts in half and cooking in a 9 x 9 inch baking dish. I hope you enjoy it as much as our family has throughout the years!"

  1. Thumbs up all around from us! I used ground turkey and added some Italian seasoning. I also added some chopped mushrooms. We all loved it! I do think that I'll halve the noodles, eggs, and sauce, though. This made way too much for our family of 4. Other than that, it was perfect!

  2. This was okay. My husband and I weren't all that thrilled. I thought the cheese in the mac n cheese part would have been more noticeable, especially since I added an ounce of Velveeta to the recipe. My 4 year old said, "I like this, but I like them better separate," meaning she'd rather have pizza or mac n' cheese, but not necessarily together. .

  3. This was very good. I used only one jar of Pizza sauce as I thought it was enough. Also, I would cut up the pepperoni's before I put them on next time so it would be easier to cut through with a fork when eating. Otherwise, it was very easy to make and we all enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing!!

  4. I made this tonight for dinner for my soon to be 6 year old son, and my mom. I followed the recipe with a few changes. I made the two boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese and added the 4 eggs. I was afraid I would have a stuck mess so I lined my 8X13 inch baking dish with aluminum foil. I baked the mac and cheese/egg mixture for 15 minutes. I only used one 16 oz. jar of Ragu pizza sauce (I usually get lite sauce on my pizza). I added the pepperoni and then I only had a 8 oz. package of mozzarella cheese and used the whole package (2 cups). I covered the pan with aluminum foil and baked for 20 minutes. I took it out and took the foil off and put it back in for 7 minutes, which was perfect. It got thumbs up all around. I can't wait to try it heated the next day. I wanted to try it first with the ingredients listed, but the possibilities are endless. I plan on using mushrooms and green olives next time. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

  5. I love the different ways this pizza casserole can be made and as you can see I made it my own. I used ground beef seasoned with italian seasonings and also pepperoni's as suggested. This is so versatile that it will suit any family's preferences for pizza. What a great idea!!! Thanks for sharing~

I'd say my biggest passion, however, is in baked goods, (i.e. special occasion cakes, cheesecakes, ect...)
