Fried Bananas (Bananas Fritas)

This a very fast and elegant desert you can have it ready and on the table in no time at all, 6-7 minutes tops. You may serve it with a ball of vanilla icecream on the side, it goes very well together.


  1. Peel the bananas, making sure the are riped but firm.
  2. Cut the in half length-wise and place in pan with butter and cook for 2-3 minutes, carefully adding in your rum.
  3. Remove from heat place on serving plates and sprinkle with the sugar and cinimon over top.

I had never had fried bananas before and I was very happy that I got a chance to make some. I loved it. It went VERY well with the ice cream. I made this for My-3-Chefs November 2009. Thanks for sharing Mia!!
