  1. Was this easy? Yes, very. Did this taste good? No, not even close. This tasted terrible. This recipe had over 4 stars and I was in a hurry so I just printed it out. Then later read the reviews and just like many recipes people rate it on the extra additions they add to it and not the original recipe itself.

  2. I didn't have any self raising flour, so I made it with all purpose and turned into a brownie mix. Tasted good. I added coconut for flavor.

  3. Absolutely loved it! And the best part is that it was so easy to make. I don't really like cakes that are too sweet so this was perfect. And I don't like icing on my cake either. What was even better was the fact that it only requires ingredients that are already available in your kitchen. Thanks for this :)

  4. this cake was exactly what i wanted/searched for : Easy. I upted the sugar to 3/4 cup per review and used a smaller tin, and it was perfect. thanks alot.

  5. Really good! a little small, so I made two and stuck some icing in-between. I also added 1/2 cup sugar, for better sweetness and 1/2 cup mini choc chips. And instead of mixing, I used an electric hand beater and it all in all, came out pretty well. The kids LOVED it. One note: it's not really that chocolatey-maybe some melted chocolate added to the batter would be good? But on the whole, I agree with ladypit- wihtout my additions of icing and choc chips, the mixture on its own has an extremely bland flavor. This does, however ensure the icing you put onto the cake doesnt make the whole thing too sweet. I'd advise anyone going to use this recipe to follow my variation, which, as mentioned before, was a huge sucess! However, when you tried teh cake itself, with out the extra choc chips and icing, I definitely see what ladypit found wrong wtih it.
