  • Skin tomatoes, cut up
  • Chop the rest of the vegetables.
  • Sprinkle with 1/2 cup pickling salt.
  • Let stand overnight.
  • In the morning drain and rinse.
  • Add sugar, spices and vinegar.
  • Cook for 1/2 hour
  • Seal in sterile jars.
