    Directions:

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. 2
      In a saucepan over low heat, combine caramels, butter and milk.
    3. 3
      Cook, stirring frequently, until smooth.
    4. 4
      Remove from heat and set aside.
    5. 5
      In a large bowl, combine sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt.
    6. 6
      Gradually mix in the melted caramel mixture. Stir in pecans.
    7. 7
      Pour filling into unbaked pie crust.
    8. 8
      Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.

      Allow pie to cool until filling is firm.

      I make this pie for all the holidays (by request!).. usually more than one pie!! It so easy to make and so tasty. We like to add whipped cream and a little bit of chocolate syrup on ours. Tastes like a candy bar.
