Budget Biscuits

"I found this recipe in a budgeting booklet years ago in New Zealand. These biscuits were lifesavers when the money was tight. They are cheap to make, easy to bake and delicious to eat and have become a family favourite. This is definitely a recipe I intend on passing on to my children. Hope you enjoy these biscuits."

  1. Great taste! Didn't turn out very crispy. I made two different batches. Used margerine for one batch and butter for a second batch. I think I like the taste better with the margerine. Don't know what I did wrong that they did not get crisp.

  2. Glorifie Anzac biscuits. Had trouble getting these to stick together but there is nothing wrong with the taste. Baked for 10 minutes in a convection oven.

  3. Good, easy biscuits. I used maple syrup instead of golden because it was what I had, worked out beautifully.
