I found this in “The Spice Cookbook” by Avanelle Day and Lillie Stuckey. Posted for Zaar World Tour 2005.

  1. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate, then stir in the sugar, salt cinnamon and instant coffee.
  2. Remove the top of the double boiler and warm over direct heat, adding ¼ c of the hot water, stirring for ½ minute.
  3. Then, stirring constantly, add in the rest of the hot water and milk.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
  5. Serve while still hot.
  6. Enjoy!

I used Ghiradelli baking chocolate in mine and found it to my liking. Made for the "Comfort Cafe", a tag game.

This is delicious! I used semi-sweet chocolate and instead of hot water and instant coffee I used freshly brewed coffee. Since I normally use skim milk I also substituted part of the milk with 5% cream. Made for ZWT Family Picks
