This is EXACTLY the recipe I have been looking for! I had this pie in Alabama 2 years ago, and have been trying to replicate it ever since. I have some bourbon that I use in the summer to liven up bottled BBQ sauce, and needed guidelines to follow. THANK YOU!!

After having some unbelievably good bourbon pecan pie at a restaurant in Hayward, Wisconsin, we NEEDED a recipe for home. This one was good although we added a tsp of bourbon after cooking in order to up the bourbon flavor that was masked a little by the chocolate. Next time we'll omit the chips and up the bourbon. Very easy to make!

Fabulous!! I didn't add any bourbon, as I didn't have any on hand (and forgot to buy some!). Still one of the best pecan pies I ever eaten. Very rich and decadent, even without the bourbon. My son practically ate the whole thing himself. I still plan on making this recipe with the bourbon, which I think will add a whole new twist. Thanks for posting!
