Recipe by NCSouthernBelle

My grandmother's recipe, and a family favorite! If the roast you use is a big one, double all the other ingredients except for the onion and the salt (otherwise it will be to dry). We eat it as a sandwich, with cole slaw on top. For the roast, it should be cooked before you start this process. I cook mine in the crock pot for 6 hours on low.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Chuck roast should already be cooked. I cook mine in the crock pot on low for 6 hours and then pull apart with two forks, discarding fat.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  3. Mix together all ingredients, and place in a casserole dish.
  4. Cook, uncovered, for one hour on 350°F.
  5. Stir and enjoy!
