Apple Raisin Nut Spice Cake

  • Preheat oven to 375* next Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  • Except for the Sugar, Sift Dry Ingredients together into a large mixing bowl. Add Sugar, beaten Eggs, Applesauce, Molasses, Orange juice, Raisins, Apples and Nuts. Batter should be thick.
  • Pour Batter into the bundt pan and Bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cake cool, remove from pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar or make a glaze.

  1. This cake was delicious! It went together very quickly and easily. It has all of the things that I love in a spice cake...it was moist, fruity, and spicy. My family gave this 2 thumbs up!! Thanks Donna for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is definitely a keeper.
     
  2. This is the best spice cake! You would never guess it has wheat flour in it. Yum, this is a keeper. I did have to add a little water to the batter, as it did not have enough moisture in the recipe. Should be thick cake batter.

I have learned alot about cooking and baking from my Grandmother's and my Aunt's.We do a lot of canning, things like Jellies and Apple butter, Chow Chow,Mixed pickles, Strawberry jam, Gr. Beans and Pickled Beats. And my favorite is the homemade Strawberry Jam. We have even had several Mollasses Stir Offs in the Fall at my Church & we make Apple Butter and Cider. I was raised in the Southeast and we love to COOK. It must be something in the water? LOL & If it involves cooking count me in!!! I Love the Food Network and all the cooking shows. I Have found alot of great recipes and made alot of friends from this Web site.
