I've never had Jordan Marsh's muffins but these remind me of the blueberry muffins I used to make with my grandma back in her (very) New England kitchen. I've made your recipe about a dozen times now. I've tried being a bit healthier by adjusting it so it has less sugar (using half on the tops) but they're way better using your recipe exactly as is. It's perfect, thank you!
I only cooked this for 25mins at 160C fan and it was enough. It was quite dry although the flavour was nice. Is it meant to be dry? I'm an experienced baker and died the recipe. I used uncooked oats. Is that correct? Our was I supposed to use cooked oatmeal?
