First - I can't believe this late in life that I did not think to use the mustard earlier ?? I chose a slightly different approach, and instead of just marinating them in all those beautiful flavors (and a lack of grill, only cooktop), I decided to go full-on and boil the brats right on in it. Once boiled fully, I removed the veggies using a seive and kept the liquids on the side. Pan-fried the brats, of course, but also the vegs. Gave a nice texture to the onions and sauerkraut that reminded me of brats I got back home in Chicago. Also added some caraway seeds and took out the bell peppers. Just a personal preference on that one. Thank you for such an amazing recipe!!!!
Can I use oven ready lasagna noodles and if so, would that affect the amount of water I use?
