I don't know whether my harissa is extremely weak or not, but the 1/2 teaspoon didn't seem to flavor anything (of course, the sensitivity of the person eating also needs to be considered - I prefer to eat hot, spicy food). I added more harissa, to get about a tablespoon, total. That was all I had, but I was still not so happy with it. And then, instead of lemon juice and parsley, I decided that chopped coriander was what this recipe needed. It was okay. As you can see, I changed the recipe all around, so do not feel comfortable assigning stars. I do think I'll seek out recipes with more promise of fire. Thank you for the experience.

This was great! I had never used harissa before, and wanted to try something new; I hardly ever cook fish (other than salmon), so this recipe just seemed like the way to go. It was extremely easy to put together, and very flavorful. I was surprised that it wasn't particularly hot -- just very savory. I may try to increase the heat next time (more harissa, a teensy bit of cayenne, or something). We really enjoyed this; thanks so much for posting it.

The top photo is my dd, Jacelyn aka FraggleJ and her two boys. She was expecting her daughter when the photo was taken. The other photo is Jacob & grandma :), both were taken last Saturday (03/29/08) while we were climbing a local butte. Those two little boys did an amazingly good job of hiking the steep trail (so did grandma!).
Food is my passion. I love to cook, I love to read recipes, I have hundreds of cookbooks. My favorite cookbook is Recipezaar! Since I joined in 2002 it has become the first place I go when looking for a recipe. Cooking is what I do for fun.
I love to travel! Not only do I get to see new places and meet interesting people - I get to try new food.
My other passions are my grandkids!!! Nothing beats grandmahood.
