- Yields:
-
1 cup marinade
ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 cup soy sauce
- 3 drops liquid smoke (I prefer the Mesquite flavor, but use it sparingly, as too much will cause a bitter taste.)
- 3 -5 drops sesame oil
- fresh minced garlic (I use 2 tablespoons)
- cracked black pepper (Lots of it!)
- yellow mustard (enough to make it a nice light brown color)
directions
- Pour over burgers or steaks and let sit in refrigerator for 1 hour. (Roughly the time it takes to watch that Sopranos episode you missed on HBO On Demand) You can even mix a little into the burger while forming patties.
- Cook over hardwood charcoal fire. Grill should be hot enough to sear outside quickly.

Having never made burgers before, I stumbled upon this on a simple Google search. I will now ALWAYS be using this marinade for burgers. Reading that everyone was saying "it's too salty," I bought Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce, and Low Sodium Worcestershire Sauce. Also added a little bit of water to dilute the marinade a little. Besides that, I followed the recipe exactly and these burgers turned out so rich and juicy (I grilled them on my panini maker/faux-George Foreman Indoor Grill). Thanks for posting this! A ! Will recommend this recipe to anyone and everyone!
