- pine nuts, toasted in a dry pan
- 1 cup red onion, slivered
- 1⁄2 cup dried cranberries
- salt, to taste

Cook the wild rice according to package directions. If using my posted recipe, click on the link to the directions then proceed as follows:
- Remove wild rice from the heat and drain off the water if necessary.
- Stir in the pine nuts, red onions, and dried cranberries. Garnish with more red onions.
- Add salt to taste.
