Trawler Crab Dip

"The Trawler was a wonderful restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, SC that my family would go to whenever we were in the area. This dip was served with club crackers while you were looking over the menu. As a child, I filled up on the dip and rarely ate my meal. Eventually, my parents quit ordering for me."

ingredients

• 2 cups mayonnaise
• 4 ounces American cheese, grated
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 cup French dressing
• 1 tablespoon horseradish
• 3 cups crabmeat

directions

1. Mix ingredients in order listed.
2. Chill until firm.

I remember going to the Trawler in Mount Pleasant on Shem Creek when I was young, which was a LONG time ago.. This was the most delicious appetizer. They brought it out to the table and it was so memorable. I was hoping to find a similar recipe and was delighted to find it online. You just cant beat it! Its simple and easy to make. Definitely a crowd pleaser. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
