Tomato Swiss Steak

- 2 lbs beef round steak
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups sliced onions
- 2 cups baby carrots
- 1 (10 ounce) can beefy mushroom soup
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
directions
- Cut steak into serving sized pieces. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Place steaks in slow cooker and cover with onions. Place carrots over beef and onions.
- Combine soup, tomato sauce and sugar. Pour over carrots.
- Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. Remove from slow cooker and allow to cool.
- Place in freezer bag. Label and freeze.
- To serve: thaw. Heat until steaks are hot and gravy is hot and bubbly. Serve over rice, noodles or potatoes.

I can't stop eating it, and I've eaten myself into a food coma. <br /><br />4 Stars The recipe is wonderful as is. I can't think of a single improvement and I will most likely make it again. <br /><br />3 Stars This needed a little *something*something*. I might make it again, but will add my own improvements if I do. <br /><br />I love to eat! And I love to cook. I tend to take over the kitchen when I get in there. Even the dog knows the command get outta my kitchen! LOL. Cooking for other people and trying new recipes or foods is FUN!
