  • In a medium saucepan combine sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, oil, red pepper, ginger and garlic powder.
  • Add mushrooms and onions. Cook and stir over medium heat until heated through.

  3. I made this as a side dish. I used baby bella mushrooms and sesame oil instead of cooking oil. I omitted the green onions since we don't care much for them. The mushrooms were very tasty and after they were refrigerated for a while they picked up more flavor. Thanks for the recipe.
     
  4. I, too, love mushrooms, and I really loved these. Just the right amount of spicy heat and lots of flavor. I made them just as written, using reduced sodium soy sauce and used towards the larger amounts listed of the spices. These would be a great side for grilled steak or chicken...or if you're like me, just eat them by themselves! I'll make these again. Thanx for sharing you recipe.
