- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- 3⁄4 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
- 1⁄4 cup strawberry preserves
- 1⁄2 cup almonds, toasted finely chopped
- powdered sugar
directions
- Beat cream cheese at medium speed of mixer until fluffy.
- Add melted chocolate,beating until smooth.
- Stir in wafer crumbs and preserves,cover and chill 1 hour.
- Shape mixture into 1 inch balls,roll in almonds or powdered sugar.
- Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

While I thought these were OK tasting, I am afraid they really didn't appeal to me. I think my expectations were off... I thought the predominant flavors would be chocolate and strawberry, however I found those flavors to be rather subtle in comparison to the tang of the cream cheese. That being said, they were very easy to make so if you think they might appeal to you, give them a try.
