Loved it! I love receipes that start with a box cake base, they always turn out and are simple & tasy. I had every thing on hand to make this cake. My husband loves butterscotch anything so I was happy to find this one. I could'nt find canned butterscotch pudding, so I made mine from the from Jello pudding mix. Mine took close to an hour to bake. Everyone that has tried it so far, want the receipe...that's the best sign that they loved it.

My son requested a butterscotch cake for his 7th birthday so I headed to recipezaar, knowing I'd find the perfect recipe...and I was right! Everyone LOVED this cake! I used about half the amount of brown sugar, thinking it would be overly sweet if I used that much, but it really could have taken it all without it being overwhelmingly sweet. I couldn't find the canned pudding, so I used the individual cups of pudding equal to the amount the recipe stated. We will definitely be making this again! Thanks for a great recipe!

I made this for Father's Day and it was a big hit! It was wonderful seeing the eyes of everyone open and then open even wider with the surprise of something so tasty from a cake mix base. This has been requested to be added to the "make again PLEASE" list of my recipes. Thanks for helping me make this Father's Day extra special!
