Sage Stuffing for Poultry

"Very easy and delicious. This recipe makes enough to stuff a 5 pound bird. From the United States Regional Cookbook, Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago, 1947."

ingredients

• 3 cups breadcrumbs
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
• 1⁄3 cup butter, melted
• 1 tablespoon sage, crushed
• 1 tablespoon onion, minced

directions

1. Combine first five ingredients; add butter and toss together until blended.
