Really Easy and Good French Breadsticks

"If you don't want all the hassle of making yeast bread sticks, then these are really good, and easy to make too! Make certain to use only French bread. Delicious served with soup, stew or your favorite pasta dish. You might want to consider making two loaves, they are that good! Adjust the garlic to suit taste, we love garlic, so I usually use around a tablespoon, and please use only butter, margarine will not bring out the taste. Cooking/broiling time depends on what size you have cut them. I have even made these on the outdoor grill too!"

  1. this was great! i made them into discs instead of sticks but other than that followed it exactly. This is going straight into my cookbook, thanks!

  2. Can't fault this easy, garlicky-buttery recipe. We ate it up faster than everything else on the table, so I guess that says it all.

  3. Thanks Kitten, this was great, very tasty, quick and easy to make garlic bread. Best of all it was made with ingredients that I always have in my kitchen. I used Pugliese Bread and fresh herbs from my garden, wow what a treat. So much flavour. My DH has already requested these for the weekend. Thanks so much for sharing.

  4. DH gave these a try and we enjoyed them. He was so proud as he RARELY steps foot in the kitchen other than to eat. He used a garlic press for the first time, and thought it was the coolest gadget! Thanks for the easy instructions, he was beaming when they were done. Nick's Mom
