"These are my all time favorite pancakes from my childhood. We always made pancakes from scratch, and my Dad is famous in our family for making these on Sunday mornings."

  • Stir liquid into dry ingredients, beating until almost smooth (do not over mix).
  • Pour batter onto preheated griddle, using 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. Turn when bubbles break on sufrace.
  • Serve hot with butter and maple syrup.

  1. I've made these for many years. The best pancake recipe! One tip to make the pancakes light and fluffy - separate the egg. Mix the yolk in with the dry and other ingredients. Beat the egg white till fluffy (like for meringue) and fold into the beaten mixture. Don't overmix - leave some of the egg white visible.
     
  2. Very quick and easy. My kids loved them. I added some fresh blueberries, and they were wonderful!! Definetly a keeper!!
