Pickled Prunes

- 1 lb dried prune
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1 cup vinegar (I used cider vinegar)
- 12 whole cloves
- 4 sticks cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar
directions
- Soak prunes in water to cover 1 hour.
- Drain prunes; add enough water to liquid in which they soaked to make 1 1/2 cups.
- Combine water vinegar, and spices and bring to a boil.
- Add sugar and simmer for 12 minutes.
- Place prunes into sterilized jars.
- Pour liquid over prunes and remove any air bubbles.
- Seal and adjust with two piece lids.
- Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
