Wow, When I was a kid, we didn't eat meat on some Wednesdays and never on any Fridays. We ate macaroni as a first dish almost every night. I've been looking at a can(its what I had) of mushrooms I got on sale and have all the other ingredients. It came out fabulous. I eye balled the measurements but did about a 50/50 butter olive oil combo. I added a few flakes of crushed red pepper flakes as I remember thats what mom did 75 years ago. Like a trip down memory lane. I need to go back to these recipes , they were great then, and just as good now.

I halved this for my husband and I...used 2 Tbl butter, 1 Tbl Olive oil--that was plenty. It made 2 dinner servings and 1 lunch serving (for the next day). I served it with a large green salad. It was fabulous. We loved it. I would definitely make it again. I had gotten an 8 oz. pkg of baby bella's on sale and wanted something to do with them. WIN!
