DIRECTIONS

  • CARAMELIZED ONIONS:
  • In a large skillet, over medium heat, warm the olive oil.
  • Saute the onions, salt & pepper , stirring occasionally until they are very soft and brown. (15-20 minutes).
  • SAUTEED MUSHROOMS:
  • In a large skillet, over medium heat, warm the olive oil.
  • Saute the mushrooms, minced garlic, fresh thyme leaves, brandy, salt & pepper, for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Add 2 squeezes of lemon juice when they are finished.
  • Mash the avocado, to make it spreadable.
  • BURGERS:
  • Over a grill or in skillet, cook the burgers to your liking.
  • Put one ounce of gorgonzola on top of each burger and let it melt slightly.
  • On the bottom side of the bun, spread the avocado.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the burger and gorgonzola on top.
  • Mound lots of onions & mushrooms on top.
  • Put the upper half of the bun on top.
  • Enjoy!
