- 3 cups water
- 6 ounces pckg Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 4 -6 tablespoons all-purpose flour (depending on consistency)
directions
- In medium saucepan, bring 2 cups water to boil.
- Stir in Lipton onion recipe soup mix; simmer covered 10 minutes.
- Stir in flour blended with remaining water.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring constantly, until gravy is thickened, about 5 minutes.

Thank you! This worked beautifully! 3 cups of water was terrific any more and it would have been TOO MUCH. This is what I did with your recipe. I heated 2 lbs of stew meat with 4tbls of butter, seasoned. When it was ready I added 6 tbl of flour, stirred. I added 3 cups of water, stirred and brought to a boil then added soup and frozen veggies. I should have added the veggies when I added the water. I let simmer for 30 min... Served over rice. HOLY cow. Terrific stew in under an hour. The pot is nearly gone.
