- 1 cup cocoa
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2⁄3 cup butter, melted
- 1⁄2 cup boiling water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 12 ounces mint chips
directions
- Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 12x9x2 baking pan.
- Stir together the cocoa, baking soda and salt, stir in half the butter and water stirring till thick.
- Stir in the other 1/2 of butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour till no streak remain. Toss in half the mint chips stir to distribute evenly.
- Pour into prepared pan smooth out and bake for 35 minutes.
- Sprinkle the remaining chips on the baked brownies let melt then spread evenly.
- Cool and serve.
