directions

  • Bring first 7 ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring often, 6 minutes. Remove 1/4 cup chili sauce mixture; brush evenly on drumsticks. Reserve remaining mixture for basting.
  • Prepare a hot fire by piling up charcoal on one side of grill, leaving other side empty. (For gas grills, light only one side, heating to 400° to 500°.) Arrange drumsticks on food grate on unlit side.
  • Grill drumsticks, covered with grill lid, 1 hour or until chicken is done, turning once and basting with remaining chili sauce mixture every 15 minutes.

  1. Made these for my hubby, I'm not fond of wings or drumsticks. He liked them a lot, said he would like a little more heat next time. I made mine in the oven, covered tight with foil in a rectangular roasting pan. I also added sliced yellow onions on top which were a nice addition, basting halfway through cooking time. Uncovered and baked about 10 minutes longer so they would get a little sticky, thanks for sharing!

  2. These were really good and easy to make. I made these for freezer tag 2008. I put the first 7 ingredients in a freezer bag, closed and swished everything together. I then added the drumsticks, sealed and froze. The day before making, I pulled and let them thaw in the fridge. I dumped all in a pan and cooked them on the grill for an hour. They were so good. Loved the sauce. Will be making again.

  3. AWSOME!!! Tried it on the grill and in the oven and both turned out perfect. The Fam loved it!!!

  4. This was very nice, I was too lazy to boil the ingredients in a saucepan, I just mixed them altogether then poured them over the chicken in a baking dish and then baked it in the oven uncovered for about 50 minutes, turning them once. I didn't have any hot sauce so i added a few drops of tobasco. I only had dijon mustard but I couldn't taste it. I had 8 drumsticks so I halved the recipe. Thanks for such a quick & easy recipe.

Ashton will be 8 in January, he's the smartest kid I know! Wrylie will be 6 in February and he's got more passion and caring in his little pinkie than most adults I know!!! And my very personal pride and joy Hennessey. She was born on the 27th of September 2007 and she's my little dollbaby. I love being at home with my children..love paying for ALL the stuff my 2nd grader brings home...soccer fees, and basketball fees, and book orders...I love cartin' my kindergartner around, and then coming home and cuddlin' with my little girl, and shopping for her favorite thing...shoes. My husband and I are as tight as 2 people can be, and I hate it when he leaves for work and can't wait until the clock strikes 4:30 because I know that means he's on his way home. Life is good. I couldn't ask for more.</p>
