- Pare Potatoes.
- boil in water for 30 - 35 minutes covered.
- Drain and set aside.
- Fry bacon in large pan until bacon is crisp.
- Drain and set aside.
- Cook onions in bacon drippings until onions turn golden brown.
- Blend in flour, sugar, salt, pepper and celery seed.
- Cook over low heat stirring until mixture is bubbly.
- remove from heat and stir in water and vinegar.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Crumble bacon.
- slice potatoes into thin slices.
- stir bacon and potatoes into the mix.
- heat through and serve.
