  • Pare Potatoes.
  • boil in water for 30 - 35 minutes covered.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Fry bacon in large pan until bacon is crisp.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Cook onions in bacon drippings until onions turn golden brown.
  • Blend in flour, sugar, salt, pepper and celery seed.
  • Cook over low heat stirring until mixture is bubbly.
  • remove from heat and stir in water and vinegar.
  • Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  • Crumble bacon.
  • slice potatoes into thin slices.
  • stir bacon and potatoes into the mix.
  • heat through and serve.
