This was a tasty stew for us. I used powdered ginger, left out the sake and used beef stew cuts. I'll make this one again. Thanks!

this was awesome! I marinated my london broil for 3 days and then poured the juices over top the steak in the crockpot. DELICIOUS!! However, i was glad I kept an eye on it as it was cooked after around 3 or 4 hours - maybe I have a powerful crockpot? I would watch it. I was lazy and used a bag of fresh coleslaw mix in place of the cabbage and it was awesome! Will definitely make this again. I also used white wine instead of sake.

    Bland. Waste of good meat.

This is so easy and so tasty! Full of flavor and healthy too. Followed the directions exactly except for the Sake... used white wine vinegar instead. To me its almost like a VERY easy stuffed cabbage roll recipe - same wonderful flavor but hardly any work. Thanks!
