"From the 1001 Cocktails website, this cocktail includes lime juice and mixer added to gin, brandy and cherry heering, a Danish liqueur with a dark cherry taste."

ingredients

• 2 ounces gin
• 1⁄2 ounce cherry heering
• 1 teaspoon cherry brandy (kirsch)
• 1⁄2 ounce fresh lime juice
• 1⁄2 teaspoon superfine sugar
• 2 1⁄2 ounces Sprite (or 7-Up)
• 1 maraschino cherry (for garnish)
• 1 lime slice (for garnish)

directions

1. Pour the gin, cherry heering, kirsch, lime juice and sugar into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and strain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes.
2. Gently stir in the soda. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a slice of lime.

Made for 9 ZWT. I found this too have a dark plummy taste that wasn't very pleasant, but I think it may be because my cherry herring is old so I won't be giving it any stars. Will try it again sometime with a fresh ingredients.
