  1. I’m a cheesecake fanatic & thought this was really good. Before putting it in the ‘fridge, the cheesy part is nice & soft! After cooling, it’s thicker like a usual cheesecake. I would serve it room temperature or chilled. And while I have never had an actual churro, my girlfriend that I made it for, for her birthday, loved it & loves churros! As for the sugar/cinnamon topping, I never pay attention to the amount given; I keep some stored in a jar & just sprinkle it on sparingly as wanted/needed. Well...sparingly as long as the dog doesn’t nudge my elbow trying to get a sample of whatever I’m cooking...! ????????
  2. Horrible. Tastes nothing like churros nor cheesecake. Sorry I wasted my time trying this but the idea was appealing. Bottom line: don't bother - make real cheesecake instead.
  3. I added some lemon juice and zest to the cream cheese mixture and less sugar on top tasted more like a cheese cake !
  4. Pillsbury has NOTHING to do with churros YUK! I do like like the mash up idea, if you want quick at least buy real churros and then make this adjusting cinnamon and sugar.
  5. This made WAY more cinnamon sugar for the top than I needed. Also the flavor was just "meh" to me. Might have been good with some strawberry jam in it or something.

  1. The recipe from Pillsbury is called sopapilla cheesecake, has butter on top before the cinnamon/sugar, then baked. It definitely doesn't taste like churros, but does have 5 star reviews! Another variation is to brush the top with egg white, then put a glaze on when it is finished cooking. I make the first one with butter, but you can research it and find the other variation if it sounds better to you.
  2. Instead of the crescent ROLLS, use the crescent roll SHEETS! Much easier!!
  3. Way too much sugar topping. I didn't use it all and still thought I had to much. Other than that it was great! I'm not a big cheese cake fan and it taste more like a cinnamon roll with fluffy cream than cheese cake
