Does this pie freeze well? I like to spend a day baking and freeze some for the next time we want one so I’m not in the kitchen all week. Haha

I've never baked and i want to make a chocolate chess pie, and a really good chess pie. Both with good texture.

Is it normal to have a little bit of butter the size of bread crumbs in your pie batter because I’ve never seen that before?

    Can this pie be frozen?

Are you supposed to refrigerate any uneaten pie? Like chocolate chess or buttermilk pie?

Truly and great pie. I have made chess pies and coconut chess pies all my life, but never a chcolate one. This one tastes so good. I loved this chocolate experience! Yes, Miss Bev, I did decorate the top of the slices with whipped cream. Not Cool Whip. I am glad I did because this wonderful pie deserved it. Thanks for posting and sharing this wonderful (to be used again and again) pie recipe.

yum! this is a great sweet chocolate treat and it's so easy!!! i didn't have evaporated milk, so i made my own (simmered regular over very low heat for about half an hour). this pie will definitely be made in my house again. it's hard to find an easy recipe for something this tasty!

Replace evaporated milk by almost full can of condensed milk and 1/4 tsp. of expresso powder. Wow!!!
