  1. Michelle, this is a lovely quick dessert that would be welcome at either a family dinner or larger gathering! I served it with a dollop of vanilla ice cream and it was sooo good! Thank you so much for sharing!

  2. This was really tasty and really easy. I also did not have any almond extract, but I but it would have made it tast even better. I froze the leftovers and used them as the dessert in my husband's lunch.

  3. I made this to serve with dinner yesterday. So easy-so good. I used vanilla extract because that was all I had.I also used half butter and half margarine, which worked beautifully. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I made this for a crowd and never actually tasted any of it. However, it was easy and everyone who did eat it seemed to like it. It is similar in flavor to another dessert I used to make that I lost the recipe to, but I like that this one has no milk in it. I will most likely try this again.

  5. I followed the recipe , except I used whole wheat flour. The flavor turned out good but it was much more like a cake than a pie and still a bit to dry. Maybe I should have tried the extra can of cherries, like another reviewer suggested. Still, it is something worth working at. Thanks Michelle S.
