Butterscotch Brownies

ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup melted butter or 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3⁄4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 cup nuts
directions
- Melt butter and remove from heat.
- (Can use microwave.).
- Blend in sugar.
- Let cool enough that it won't cook the egg.
- Stir in egg.
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- Add dry ingredients.
- Add vanilla and nuts.
- Spread in a well-greased 8x8 pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
- Do not overbake.

This butterscotch is similar with Recipe #83712. I use all oil. I thought the batter was too few, but the amount was just right. Followed everything, baked at exactly 25min. Tasted great. They didn't rise much (i don't think butterscotch suppose to do that). Thanks for the recipe, will definitely make these again
