WOW! I was hesitant to make these since they contain NO BUTTER. I've never had a scone that didn't contain a pound of the stuff. But this recipe was so easy, what did I have to lose. OMG, these are DELICIOUS! (I did add a little nutmeg and raisins though; raisins are a must -- I think it's the law.)

Nice quick recipe added 1/4 tsp nutmeg and flavor was good. One mistake made was forgetting to shorten time for convection baking so they came out a bit on the dry side, I think a bit of applesauce next time and remembering to shorten time for convection will make a nice scone. Don't think it will beat my mother-in-laws scones but even her recipe doesn't taste the same when I make it.

These scones were quick and easy to make and had a lovely cinnamon vanilla flavour. Mmm! :)
It was my first time making scones with a mix and I have to say that I prefer the ones made from scratch. I loved the way you personalised the mix with adding in the vanilla and cinnamon, so Ill just use this flavouring in my go-to from scratch scone recipe next time as I really enjoyed that. :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your recipe here with us, pnjsmom26!
Made and reviewed for one of my Preemie Babies during Pick A Chef March 2011.
