Baked Rice Pudding

"This recipe is simple yet results in superb comfort food. We have it as a family dessert or I sometimes make it if I have a "sickie" who can't be tempted to eat anything else. It's an old recipe that's worth repeating."

  1. Used 1/2 c Arborio rice. So easy to make this ultra comforting dish. Mmmmm.

  2. I liked this, it was very easy to make. I did find that even though I was a little conservative with the sugar (New Year's Resolution)that the end result was a little too sweet for my preference, and that it wasn't as creamy as I expected, but maybe I should have made this in a smaller dish so that the pudding would have been deeper and maybe reatined a more creamy consistancy. I added plenty of nutmeg, both during the preperation and after it came out of the oven. Please see my rating system: I would make this again, but with less sugar and experimenting with dishes to see if that gives a creamier result. Thanks!
