  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 12 cups rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 14 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 12 cup Frank's red hot sauce (can substitute for different hot sauce if preferred)
  • salt & pepper

  • In large non stick skillet brown Ground Beef and drain.
  • Mix in Butter, Water, Franks Red Hot sauce and rice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer, stirring frequently, for 12-15mins or until rice is cooked.
  • Serve and enjoy!

  1. Made this for Fall Pick-A-Chef 2011 and it was a quick and easy dish. I did add some onion and garlic (we love that combo in our hamburger dishes) and otherwise followed the directions. We loved the kick the hot sauce gave and next time I might add a little seasoning to it. Thanks for posting the recipe.
     
  2. This was great! I was afraid of the amount of hot sauce; it was a little hot, but my better half loved it like that. LOL Of course, I had to add broccoli to the mix while it cooked to give it some nutritional value :-) Thank you for this one!
