directions

  • mix all of the filling ingredients in the bowl you plan to cook in (in any order you want to).
  • i used a 8 by 8 pan, 9 by 9 would have been better.
  • i"mashed" half of the potatoes to help thicken up the pie.
  • then add the mixed bisquick complete on top, leaving a few spaces open to allow circulation.
  • cook in a pre heated to 425 degree oven until the biscuits on top are cooked (20-25 min) and golden brown.
  • eat and enjoy!

  1. Very very good. I added an extra can of soup so that reheating would not leave it dry. Double garlic, of course. Instead of canned carrots I cooked fresh along with some fresh celery in with my potatoes. All in the office loved it.

  2. Talk about comfort food!!! THIS IS IT!! I had every ingredient on hand so I decided to give this a try. So easy and ohh so flavorful. It really hit the spot. I followed the directions exactly except I doubled the garlic :-)and threw in some diced ham just because I had some. Comfort food at its best.

  3. Easy and very tasty. I used 2 cans of soup and a larger pan.

  4. I was in a rush the other night so I only cooked the filling and served it over creamy mashed potatoes. Thanks for sharing. This was very popular in my family. We shall be making this again and again. Bella

  5. Very good recipe. My entire family enjoyed this. I followed the recipe exactly as posted and the result was good. Next time I prepare I will add a little milk to the soup because mine came out very thick. I would like it just a tad bit more loose. I too mashed half of the potato and will continue to do so because I liked this idea very much. Definite comfort food. Thanks for posting your creation.

Tweaks

  1. This was too good to be so easy. I added a can of cream of celery soup and substituted Italian seasoning for the basil. Also omitted ther onion. I used the buttermilk baking mix and had to cook it longer to get the biscuits cooked on the bottom. It was worht the wait. We both loved it. I used leftovers from a roast chicken for the meat. I also added more garlic but it was too much. Will limit it to one clove next time. Will definitely make this again.

I am a teacher, and have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 9 years. I have a niece who is 7, and a nephew who is 1. Also, I have 2 sweet kitties. Sinatra is a bit on the plump side, and Audrey is a petite dainty thing. They both are almost mirror images of each other. <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/airbornearmywife/joshnatras2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a> <embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://wmg.photobucket.com/pbwidget.swf?pbwurl=http://wmg.photobucket.com/albums/v202/airbornearmywife/1159026847.pbw" height="120" width="400"></embed> <a href="http://www.amazingcounter.com"><img border="0" src="http://c8.amazingcounters.com/counter.php?i=1680027&c=5040394" alt="Web Counter"/></a> <img src="http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e347/Saturn6666/KiwiDutch/3chefstag1.jpg"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PAC08Main.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/adoptedspring08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket">
