Great recipe. followed just as listed but added a dash of cinnamon. kids loved it so much I had to make a second loaf. the applesauce makes it moist without making it heavy. thanks for sharing .. this will be a regular around our house.

I thought this recipe was fantastic! I also added some touches as suggested in the reviews. I used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup of all purpose flour and I added 1 tsp. vanilla, 1tsp. cinnamon and a sprinkle of all spice. to cut down on sugar, I used 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 cup honey. Before cooking, I sprinkled the top with cinn. and sugar. Fantastic!!

This bread WAS moist and delicious. I, too, added cinnamon and nuts. Cinnamon-sugar on the top gave it a crunch. Thanks for a great apple recipe.

This is a great recipe - very moist and a very strong apple flavor. I also added in a little cinnamon and some chopped pecans. Thank you!

This was the best apple bread I've had in a long time! I used a large Macintosh that I had picked at a local orchard earlier in the week, and the applesauce was a batch of homemade. I also added about a teaspoon of apple pie spice and sprinkled the top with cinnamon sugar before baking (I really like cinnamon with apples). Very impressive, and the texture reminded me of Boston Coffeecake. I'll be using this one again!
