  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • In a food processor turn the oats into powder. In a mixing bowl sift together the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl beat the butter until fluffy and gradually beat in both types of sugar; then slowly beat in egg, milk, vanilla and almond extract.
  • Gradually beat into the butter mixture the dry flour mixture untill well combined. Stir in chocolate and nuts.
  • Drop by spoonful on well greased or parchment lined cookie sheets and bake for 12-17 minutes.
