- 1 1⁄2 cups rolled oats
- 1 1⁄3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 14 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄3 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 1⁄8 tablespoons milk
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1⁄8 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 1⁄3 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 1⁄3 cups macadamia nuts, chopped
directions
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- In a food processor turn the oats into powder. In a mixing bowl sift together the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl beat the butter until fluffy and gradually beat in both types of sugar; then slowly beat in egg, milk, vanilla and almond extract.
- Gradually beat into the butter mixture the dry flour mixture untill well combined. Stir in chocolate and nuts.
- Drop by spoonful on well greased or parchment lined cookie sheets and bake for 12-17 minutes.
