Great for pool-side sipping. From Southern Living.
- lime juice
- 1⁄3 cup tequila
- 2 cups ice
- 2 cups seeded chopped watermelon, partially frozen
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon vodka
- 1 tablespoon triple sec
- Coat the rims of margarita glasses with lime juice; dip in sugar.
- Add the tequila, ice, watermelon, sugar, lime juice, vodka, and Triple Sec into the container of an electric blender.
- Process until slushy.
- Pour into prepared glasses; enjoy.
A delicious summertime drink!! Since I started with fresh watermelon, I cut up and froze enough for another batch when the mood strikes.
These were wonderful and yummy. I did freeze the watermelon first before I blended and it was a great refreshing poolside drink!
These were wonderful drinks! I made these the way I usually make my margaritas with limeade instead of the lime juice and sugar, but the watermelon was a wonderful addition. I never would have thought of doing that on my own. Thanks, Di!
