Very Soft Rolled Oat Cookies

ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon clove
- 1 cup margarine or 1 cup butter
- 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 1⁄2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup raisins or 1 cup nuts
directions
- Sift flour, salt, soda, baking powder and spices together.
- Cream margarine with brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add beaten eggs and mix well.
- Add sifted ingredients alternately with milk and in small amounts.
- Add rolled oats, raisins and nuts.
- Heat oven at 350° and bake for 12-15 minutes.
