• Ingredients: 8
• Yields: 1 cake
• Serves: 4-6

ingredients

• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1 egg (Beaten)
• 29 ounces fruit cocktail (Drained)
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1⁄2 cup oatmeal

directions

1. Spray 9X9 pan with non stick cooking spray.
2. Mix everything except Brown Sugar & Oatmeal.
3. Pour into baking pan.
4. Mix Brown Sugar & Oatmeal
5. Cover with mixture.
6. Bake 1 hour 20 min @ 300 degrees.

How wonderful to find a recipe like this ~ It totally reminds me of a cake my mom used to make back in the late '40s & '50s! Made with the original, ol' fashioned fruit cocktail, it certainly is a comfort kind of dessert, & we love it! Thanks for sharing your recipe! It's a keeper!
