- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 (14 ounce) can chickpeas
- 1⁄4 cup tahini
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cayenne
- 1 (10 ounce) can vegetable broth, heated
- 500 g rotini pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds
directions
- In a food processor, combine garlic, chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, soy sauce, and cayenne and process until smooth. Stir in broth and keep warm.
- Cook rotini according to package directions. Add broccoli during last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Drain pasta and broccoli. Toss with sauce, sprinkle with sesame seeds.

The extra lemon juice and the lemony zest adds the punch that you need. This is a really tasty vegetarian meal.
