  1. I made this for supper tonight using Hunt's Garlic and Herbs sauce. It was my first time making any kind of stuffed shells, and I must admit, I made a few mistakes (forgetting to put margarine in the water when making the noodles and forgetting to reserve some mozzarella to top the shells and just putting all of it inside them). But this recipe seems very forgiving. My husband, who almost NEVER suggests five-star ratings, said he'd give this recipe five stars and claimed it was the best "lasagna" he'd ever had. He suggested that, next time, I add some italian seasoning to the sauce, but that is standard practice around here for spaghetti and such. Nothing against the recipe, it's just what we do. Thanks!

  2. These were delicious! I used 1/2 sweet italian sausage and 1/2 ground beef. I also added sautéed onion and garlic, as well as some dried italian seasoning to the meat mixture. For the sauce, I used a combination of jarred marinar as well as some canned san martzano tomatoes. Will definitely make again.

  4. I have made this 6 times now. We all just absolutly love it! I did not use ground beef. I used a handful of pepperoni(food Processed). It really gives it extra flavor. I also add A sprinkle of Garlic and onion powder to step 11. I make my own sauce to pour over the top. *I can of Contadina italian sauce 1/2 tsp on garlic & onion powder and a sprinkle of sugar. I also add 2 shakes of hot red pepper flake. I dont heat it, I just pour it over the top. I LOVE this recipe! Thanks so much!!!
