Tail light, This recipe was good, I did like the idea of lemon peel and white wine in the stewed apples. However, I also found that it called for way too much sugar. Perhaps next time I will add rosemary and less sugar and serve with thick roasted pork chops.

Directions

  1. Peel and core the apples.
  2. Cut into thick slices.
  3. Sauté in butter 2-3 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with sugar.
  5. Add water, wine, lemon peel and lemon juice.
  6. Cover and cook slowly until tender.
