This is pretty good. I did grease the pan, but the crust was very hard to get out. Next time I would line the pan with foil instead. Also, when I took it out of the oven there was a big pool of liquid in the middle so I drained it out and put it back in the oven. Then it was hard to cut out because the topping didn't stay on top of the crust. Sure, this dessert is not the best structually, but it is yummy! I just ate right out of the pan with a spoon.
We have had this recipe for years, it is one of our favorites, we usually make it like Shelby Jo, but this was just as good hopefully fewer calories, thank you for sharing!
I have this same recipe: almost. Mine calles for 1/2 cup butter 1 cup flour and 5 T powdered sugar for the crust. The rest is the same. I haven't made it like this posted recipe has it. I love this dessert. My mom used to make it all the time during the summer. It's great served with vanilla ice cream or alone!
